Balineni Srinivasa Reddy’s Key Rally Plan to Boost Janasena in Ongole

Politics in Andhra Pradesh is becoming more volatile as defections increase, and the political landscape is shifting. Following the recent elections, the YSRCP has been struggling, with its grip on power weakening, while the TDP, Janasena, and BJP are experiencing a rise in defections. One of the most significant shocks to the YSRCP came from former Ongole MLA and ex-minister, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy. Despite his strong family ties with the ruling party, Balineni resigned from the YSRCP and joined Janasena, sending shockwaves through the party.

Balineni’s move has left YS Jagan and the YSRCP grappling to manage the fallout, especially after an event organized by Balineni sparked major concerns within the YSRCP camp.

With Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu absent, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has been conducting meetings at his camp office in Mangalagiri. On Thursday, Balineni visited Mangalagiri for a private meeting with Pawan Kalyan. Sources indicate that the two leaders discussed an important issue: Balineni’s request for Pawan Kalyan to visit Prakasam district on February 5 and help organize a massive public rally in Ongole.

Initially, Balineni had planned to host a large rally in Ongole before joining Janasena, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it did not happen. Now, he is determined to make it a reality. Political analysts believe there is a significant reason behind his insistence on the rally. Balineni has considerable support in Ongole and across Prakasam district, and many influential YSRCP leaders from the region are reportedly ready to join Janasena with him. Balineni had previously held off on this move, but pressure from these leaders has now pushed him to act.

If Pawan Kalyan agrees to visit Prakasam district and participate in the rally, it’s expected that the defections will accelerate, with several key YSRCP leaders, including corporators from Ongole Municipal Corporation, ready to join Janasena. Predictions suggest that Ongole Corporation Chairperson Giri could also make the move to Janasena, potentially erasing YSRCP’s presence in Ongole and even influencing leaders from across Rayalaseema to switch parties.
