Sharmila Slams Jagan: Calls Vijayasai’s Resignation a BJP Deal

Share

The resignation of YCP leader Vijayasai Reddy from the Rajya Sabha has ignited a political storm in both Telugu states. AP Congress President YS Sharmila made sharp and sensational comments on the development, calling it a reflection of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s faltering leadership.

Sharmila alleged that Jagan has lost his credibility as a leader, suggesting that Vijayasai Reddy’s departure reveals deeper cracks within the YSRCP. She further claimed it is implausible that Reddy would step down without Jagan’s consent, hinting that the resignation might be part of a larger, covert plan. According to Sharmila, Jagan is intentionally paving the way for Vijayasai Reddy to join the BJP, as part of a strategy to protect his political and legal interests.

Sharmila didn’t hold back on her accusations, charging Vijayasai Reddy with spreading falsehoods in the past, particularly in connection to the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy. She demanded that Vijayasai come clean about the case and alleged that Jagan is leveraging Vijayasai to shield himself from legal scrutiny surrounding the murder.

Sharmila also labeled Jagan as a “foster son” of Prime Minister Modi, accusing him of aligning with the BJP to safeguard his political future and legal position. She reminded the public of the defamatory remarks made by Vijayasai against her and her family, including criticisms targeting her children.

She predicted that Vijayasai’s resignation is just the beginning and that after the 2024 elections, more leaders would gradually distance themselves from Jagan’s leadership.

Sharmila’s fiery remarks have stirred political debate, raising questions about the true reasons behind Vijayasai Reddy’s resignation and hinting at possible turmoil within the YSRCP.
