The majority of films made in Tollywood are small and medium budget flicks and most of their revenue recovery happens through satellite business. But here is an insight on how this market has been in the last few years.
According to the business experts in filmnagar, except the films of Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, Junior NTR, Ram Charan, Prabhas, Nagarjuna, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Victory Venkatesh, no other hero has got market in terms of satellite rights. Many films are still lying without takers after release.
The satellite rights are bought by the TV channels and now they have a new formula. Barring those heroes mentioned above, for any other film, they are stating Let the film become a hit then we will see.In few cases, some heroes are using some influence and lobbying to get things done. That’s how tough the satellite market is nowadays.
