Chandoo Mondeti is one of the hit directors in Tollywood right now. He scored a blockbuster with ‘Karthikeya 2’ and it achieved pan-Indian success as well. It collected more than 100 crores and Chandoo’s demand increased multifold after that. Now, he is reportedly getting ready to make a film with Naga Chaitanya.
Renowned banner ‘Geetha Arts’ is going to bankroll this project and everyone are curious to find out what kind of story does Chandoo Mondeti tell the audience this time. The expectations are already high on this combination and sources claim that around 60 crores will be spent on this flick. In fact, Geetha Arts wanted to make a film with Naga Chaitanya and readied a story. Chaitu believed that only Chandoo Mondeti could do justice to this story and was adamant on bringing his ‘Premam’ director onboard for this project.
Prior to Naga Chaitanya’s flick, Chandoo reportedly planned to make a movie with Tamil star hero Suriya and it is Geetha Arts who was supposed to bankroll this flick too. With Geetha Arts banner asking the director to handle the megaphone for Naga Chaitanya’s project too, the ‘Karthikeya’ director has reportedly given his green signal.
News is that Naga Chaitanya asked for some corrections in the script and the work is in progress now. Reports are that the necessary changes may take some time and Chandoo is going to work with Suriya in the meanwhile. The project with Chandoo and Chaitanya is almost confirmed and if the director is too busy with other commitment, he may supervise the film while another young director takes the directorial responsibility.
As we know, Chandoo Mondeti’s graph is on an upward trajectory even since ‘Karthikeya 2’ released. A lot of heroes are showing interesting in working with him and many production houses are trying to lock him with advances. But he is keeping the word given to Allu Aravind and is working under banner tight now.
The combination of Chaitu and Chandoo gave two films in the past. While ‘Premam’ was a very good hit, ‘Savyasachi’ failed to impress the audience. It is to be seen how their third film turns out.
