Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and legendary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli recently shared screen space in the Hindi web series The Ba…ad of Bollywood, a witty spoof that pokes fun at industry quirks like contracts, nepotism, and more. In one particularly hilarious segment, the duo debates food — Aamir champions idli-sambar, while Rajamouli swears by vada pav. The scene, however, is misinterpreted by onlookers as a serious discussion about “Italy” and big-budget productions. The two icons part ways without reaching a conclusion, leaving viewers in fits of laughter.
Earlier, photos of Aamir and Rajamouli together had sparked speculation about a potential collaboration. While this web series clarified that, the two still share an epic connection: both have expressed a long-held dream of bringing the Mahabharata to the big screen. Rajamouli is currently busy with his high-profile film starring Mahesh Babu, while Aamir is reportedly exploring his own Mahabharata project.
“Without a ₹1000 crore budget, depicting the saga of the Pandavas and Kauravas on screen is nearly impossible,” a source notes. Having already delivered the ₹2000 crore global blockbuster Dangal, Aamir appears ready to take on another ambitious mythological spectacle.
