Aamir Khan’s team has issued a clarification following circulating reports that the actor made negative remarks about his cameo in Coolie, the recent blockbuster starring superstar Rajinikanth.
The controversy began when a screenshot went viral on X (formerly Twitter), allegedly quoting Aamir as saying his cameo was “a big mistake” and criticizing the writing of his character. The quotes suggested he felt his role lacked purpose and failed to connect with audiences.
Aamir Khan’s spokesperson categorically denied the claims, stating:
“Mr Aamir Khan has given no such interview and has made no negative comments about Coolie. He has the highest regard for Mr Rajinikanth, Mr Lokesh, and the entire Coolie team. The film’s success, with over ₹500 crore at the box office, speaks for itself.”
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie features Rajinikanth in a power-packed lead role, with Aamir Khan appearing in a cameo. The clarification comes amid growing fan chatter and unverified reports online.
