Nearly three decades since the advent of multiplex culture in India, the movie-watching experience has come a long way. Advances in film quality, technology, and overall cinematic presentation have transformed how audiences enjoy movies. Yet, some aspects of the multiplex experience continue to frustrate viewers.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently joined the chorus of concerned moviegoers by expressing his displeasure over food being served during screenings. In a candid interview, he urged multiplexes to avoid distributing snacks once a film is underway.
“One thing that really disturbs me, and I have conveyed this to multiplexes — please do not serve food during the movie. The scene is going on, and someone places food in front of me. If you want to buy snacks, please do so before the screening or during the interval. There should be no movement inside the theatre while the film is playing,” Aamir emphasized.
In a related update, Aamir Khan also met filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma to commemorate 30 years of Rangeela, sparking excitement and speculation about a potential reunion between the celebrated actor-director duo.
