For quite some time now, rumors have been swirling about a possible split between Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. While both stars maintained a dignified silence, Abhishek has now subtly addressed the ongoing speculation, expressing his displeasure over the negativity surrounding his personal life.
In a recent interaction, Abhishek made it clear that he has had enough of the online trolling and fake narratives. “If you have something to say, say it to my face,” he challenged critics. “Don’t sit behind a screen and write things. If you have the courage, come and say it directly.”
He described the constant speculation and fake news as part of a “new trolling trend,” and emphasized that while such stories may not have impacted him in the past, things are different now because of his family. “Earlier, these stories didn’t bother me. But today, I have a family, and they are being affected. Even if I clarify something, people won’t believe it—because negative news sells.”
Abhishek also made a pointed remark: “You’re not me. You don’t live my life. And you’re not accountable to the people I’m accountable to.” He urged people to look within and answer to their conscience and the creator, rather than spreading negativity. “I may not be affected, but there are families involved in this game,” he said.
Taking a stand against online hate, Abhishek openly challenged his trolls: “If you really want to say something, I give you the courage—say it to my face. But those people will never have the guts to do that. If someone tells me something directly, I will at least believe they are being honest, and I’ll respect that.”
On the professional front, Abhishek will next be seen in Kaalidhar Lapata, directed by Madhumita. The film also stars Divyenndu Sharma and Zishan Ayub in key roles and is set to premiere on Zee5 on July 4.
