As the wife of former United States President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama is a known face to many. Besides this, she is a writer too. When Obama was the United States President, Michelle Obama kept herself busy with humanitarian work. She is now awaiting the release of her book named ‘The Light We Carry’.
To promote the book, the former United States President’s wife announced a tour as part of which she will be touring places like Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Michelle Obama is expected to share some interesting things about the book.
Ahead of the tour, Michelle Obama received a special request to run for President polls in the United States. The request was made by a legendary writer from Bollywood who worked for a few iconic films. In the tweet, the writer introduced himself as a ‘poet from India’.
Legendary writer Javed Akhtar took to Twitter and requested Michelle Obama to contest the presidential polls. He said that he is not a crazy fan and he is 77 years old. Akhtar even said that not just the United States, but the whole world wants to see her as the President.
“Dear Ms Michelle Obama, I am not some young crazy fan but a 77 years old writer/poet from India. Hopefully any Indian would know my name. Madame please take my words seriously, not only US but the world needs you in White House, You shouldn’t shrug off this responsibility,†Javed Akhtar said on Twitter.
There is a reason behind Javed Akhtar making the request. Joe Biden was expected to make wonders as the US President. But that did not happen and he made a few blunders including calling off the NATO forces from Afghanistan. This pushed the nation into a big crisis.
The United States now needs a dynamic leader. When Barack Obama was the President, she got the opportunity to see Barack very closely. Barack cannot run the polls as no candidate can serve as President for more than two terms. So Michelle Obama has the opportunity to run the polls and Javed Akhtar wants her to run the polls.
