Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya directed by Koratala Siva was planned for release in 2020, but it won’t happen due to the lockdown.
Megastar is now eyeing at Sankranthi release and wanted to make it official before other movies book their slot for Sankranthi 2021.
However, Rajamouli is yet to give his consent for shooting the scenes on Ram Charan, who is set to play an important character in it.
Rajamouli doesn’t want any of Charan or Tarak’s movies to come before #RRR as it would reduce the excitement of fans. But #RRR is ruled out of Sankranthi 2021 race and Rajamouli hasn’t decided on its release date.
Acharya cannot wait until #RRR is over and therefore Chiranjeevi is mounting pressure on Rajamouli for allowing Charan to work for thirty days on Koratala’s film. If Rajamouli agrees to it then Acharya will release during the best season for Telugu Cinema.
With shootings to resume as late as August, there wouldn’t be any biggies to confront Acharya at the Sankranthi box office.
