During a recent roundtable discussion with Gulte, Telugu directors Chandoo Mondeti, Sailesh Kolanu, and Anil Ravipudi shared their views, stating that the issue need not be overblown.

Chandoo Mondeti pointed out that extended working hours often benefit daily wage crew members, as they are compensated on an hourly basis, unlike actors, directors, and senior technicians who work on fixed remuneration. Anil Ravipudi echoed a similar sentiment, adding that longer working hours can help minimize production costs by ensuring that shooting targets are met within scheduled timelines, thereby avoiding delays and budget overruns.

Sailesh Kolanu highlighted the creative aspect of extended work hours, explaining that when a director and actors are in a strong creative flow, pushing beyond the scheduled time can help complete crucial portions of a scene or sequence without breaking momentum.
