Prabhas and Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ which is based on the Hindu mythology Ramayana has faced a lot of hurdles before finally releasing on 16th June. Many are trying to spread negativity on this movie by releasing fake news regarding caste and religion. There was news which arrived that ‘Adipurush’ should not be watched by people from lower castes and the poster turned out to be a fake one.

With a strong warning from the movie’s unit, the people who are against this movie went silent. Otherwise, there are a lot of people who are ready to spread false news and negativity over this movie since it is based on Hindu gods. There are few who are now asking why should they watch this movie in theatres when they know all about Ramayana since their childhood.

We need to see how the ‘Adipurush’ team gives a reply to this after the movie releases. The pre-release buzz over the movie is quite positive. A lot of people laughed when ‘Ramayan’ serial was re-telecasted. Many thought that people wouldn’t watch it but the response was phenomenal. Nowadays, people have a lot of means of entertainment.

But Ramanand Sagar took the risk of telling Ramayanam’s story when radio and television were not available for everyone. The serial did not get the desired result initially. But the response was phenomenal after completing six weeks. It ran for 78 episodes from 25th January 1987 to 31st July 1988. It used to be telecasted on Doordarshan at 9:30 AM on Sunday. The serial got into the Limca Book of Records for being the most viewed series.

Despite a lot of books arriving about ‘Ramayana’, they did not have any effect on the serial. This epic Indian mythology never gets boring and people even watched its re-telecast in 2020. Over 7.7 crores people watch it and everyone is expecting ‘Adipurush’ to get the same result on 16th June but on the big screens.
