Pawan Kalyan aimed for a wider Hindi audience with They Call Him OG, which emerged as a major Telugu hit and collected around ₹300 crore worldwide. However, its Hindi version reportedly struggled, earning less than ₹5 crore gross, highlighting the gap in its north Indian reception.
In contrast, Adivi Sesh appears to have a stronger hold in the Hindi market. His recent release Dacoit: A Love Story has collected close to ₹35 crore worldwide in just five days, with the Hindi version alone estimated at nearly ₹6 crore gross, and still running successfully in theatres.
His earlier film Major further strengthened this trend, with the Hindi version contributing around ₹11 crore gross, while the total worldwide collection stood at approximately ₹60 crore. This suggests that Adivi Sesh has built a more consistent audience base in the Hindi-speaking regions.
Meanwhile, Dacoit: A Love Story, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, continues its theatrical run. The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and directed by Shaneil Deo.
Overall, the comparison highlights that while star power drives regional success, Adivi Sesh currently enjoys relatively stronger traction in the Hindi market.
