Adivi Sesh’s much-awaited love and action drama Dacoit has officially postponed its release. Initially planned for a grand Christmas release on December 25th, the film will now hit the big screens on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi festival weekend.
The postponement comes after Adivi Sesh sustained a leg injury, which delayed the shooting of a major action sequence — one that demands intense physical effort and precision. The team decided to wait until Sesh fully recovers to maintain the high-quality standards expected from the film.
The newly released poster has already created buzz among fans. It features Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur seated in a car amidst chaos — Sesh, intense and armed, points a gun at his enemies, while Mrunal appears anxious. A bullet-riddled windshield and a burning jeep outside set the tone for a high-octane action scene.
Dacoit is described as a love-and-revenge drama with stylish action and emotional depth. The film also marks Bollywood filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap’s Telugu debut as a tough cop.
Directed by Shaniel Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, the film is co-produced by Suniel Narang and presented by Annapurna Studios on a lavish scale.
