Superstar Mahesh Babu who already had donated Rs 1 crore for the Telugu states for the Corona virus relief works, has come forward for the film workers now. Taking to his Twitter handle, Mahesh said he would be contributing Rs 25 Lakh for the daily wage cine workers.
“The lockdown situation adversely impacts the lives of daily wage cine workers. Will be contributing Rs. 25 lakhs towards Corona crisis charity for TFI workers. Requesting all fellow actors to come forward and make their contributions in these testing times,” tweeted Mahesh.
Due to lockdown and halt of shootings, people who depend upon films and earn on daily basis were severely hit. Several actors have already announced their bit and Mahesh made his fresh contribution.
Almost the entire film industry has stepped up to protect their workers which is a very good sign and can be a good example for rest of the industries in the country.
