India is in shock after an Air India plane bound for London crashed near Ahmedabad airport just minutes after takeoff. In a stunning revelation, reports are emerging that former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was onboard, travelling in business class. Several TV channels have aired his boarding pass, confirming his presence on the ill-fated flight.

The aircraft involved was an Air India Boeing Dreamliner 787, with a total seating capacity of 300. At the time of the crash, it was carrying 242 people, including passengers and crew.
