The much-anticipated action-adventure film ‘Ranger’, starring Ajay Devgn, has officially begun shooting in Mumbai. While earlier reports had suggested that filming would start in the summer of 2025, the project has now kicked off ahead of schedule. The first schedule in Mumbai is expected to last about a month.
Directed by Jagan Shakti, who previously helmed Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar, Ranger will also feature Sanjay Dutt as the film’s formidable antagonist.
A source close to the project revealed that the next schedule will take place in Thailand, but details about the locations and sequences are being kept under wraps. “Everything is meticulously planned, and audiences will get to know more about the film at the right time. Right now, we are fully focused on the first schedule and capturing the action sequences,” the source said.
Speaking about the excitement surrounding the Ajay Devgn–Sanjay Dutt pairing, the source added, “Shooting with two stalwarts and doyens of Hindi cinema is thrilling. Their on-screen clash promises to be a powerhouse, and we hope audiences will thoroughly enjoy it. Our aim is to deliver maximum entertainment.”
With its high-octane action and star-studded cast, Ranger is already shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2025.
