Thalapathy Vijay, who has been in the headlines following the tragic stampede during his Karur rally that claimed 41 lives and left many injured, has now taken a heartfelt step to meet the victims’ families. Nearly a month after the incident, Vijay has reportedly arranged a private gathering at a resort in Mahabalipuram near Chennai, booking 50 rooms to host the bereaved families.
According to national media reports, 30 out of the 41 families affected have arrived at the resort, where they have been provided with comfortable accommodation. Vijay is personally meeting each family one by one, spending time to console them and ensure the proceedings are handled with utmost care and dignity.
This emotional outreach comes after Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), transferred a compensation amount of ₹20 lakh to each victim’s family through RTGS. The actor-politician’s personal involvement in meeting the families is being seen as a sincere effort to offer support and solace to those affected by the unfortunate tragedy.
