Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda managed to pull the masses to the theatres in big numbers as it hit the silver screens the other day. The big-budget action drama opened to mixed reviews but that didn’t show any effect on its box office openings.
The latest box office reports are suggesting that Akhanda has collected Rs 15.38 crores share on its opening day, which is the highest ever tally for a Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer.
Akhanda has collected Rs 4.40 crores share in the Nizam region which is a record number for any Balakrishna’s film till date. It has collected another Rs 3.30 crores in the Ceeded region.
Akhanda has grossed Rs 20.80 crores in the Telugu states alone and this really is a dream start for the Boyapati Sreenu directorial.
The worldwide theatrical rights of Akhanda are valued at Rs 56 crores and wth this positive start at the ticket counters, the buyers will be hoping that the film continues its momentum thorugh the weekend.
