Films based on real-life incidents often carry a unique appeal, and many such stories have turned into massive box office hits. Now, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is set to bring one such story to the big screen. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that his upcoming film Jolly LLB 3 is inspired by real events.
While his recent release Housefull 5 performed decently at the box office, it received mixed reviews from critics. Amid this, Akshay is quickly wrapping up the shoot of Jolly LLB 3, a courtroom drama that reunites him with Arshad Warsi. The film is expected to revolve around a strong conflict between the two characters, adding legal tension and drama to the narrative. The makers are planning for a theatrical release in September this year.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Akshay confirmed that Jolly LLB 3 draws inspiration from true incidents, just like the first two parts. “If the previous films included real events, this one does too,” Akshay shared, when asked about the story. He playfully added, “You want me to tell you the entire plot?”
The third installment will feature an intense courtroom battle between Jolly Tyagi (played by Akshay) and Jolly Mishra (played by Arshad Warsi). Veteran actor Saurabh Shukla reprises his role as the judge, adding continuity and credibility to the franchise. The story tackles a complex social theme and promises to be more than just entertainment.
Akshay also praised Arshad Warsi’s comic timing, saying, “He’s a brilliant actor with a great sense of humor. Working with him has been a joy.” Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film also stars Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao in key roles. Shot across Mumbai and Rajasthan, Jolly LLB 3 blends comedy, action, and courtroom drama, and is expected to be a compelling and engaging watch.
