Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has made headlines once again, this time for a smart real estate move in Mumbai. The actor recently sold two residential apartments in Borivali’s premium Oberoi Sky City for a combined amount of ₹7.10 crore, earning an impressive profit of nearly 92 percent in just eight years.
According to reports, the first apartment, measuring 1,101 sq ft, was sold for ₹5.75 crore. Akshay had purchased this property back in 2017 for ₹3.02 crore, and the sale also included two car parking spaces. The deal carried a stamp duty of ₹34.50 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000.
The second property, a smaller 252 sq ft apartment, was sold for ₹1.35 crore. It was originally bought for ₹67.90 lakh in 2017, with the transaction incurring a stamp duty of ₹6.75 lakh and the same registration fee.
This is not Akshay’s first real estate transaction this year. In March, he sold two other flats in the same complex for ₹6.60 crore, and in April, he sold office space in Lower Parel for ₹8 crore.
While making these smart property investments, Akshay continues to stay busy on the professional front with an exciting lineup of films, including Hera Pheri 3 and Welcome To The Jungle.
