Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is basking in the positive response to his latest release Jolly LLB 3, recently opened up about the formula behind his disciplined and balanced life.
The actor appeared on the season finale of the popular sketch comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show, where he revealed that the secret to his well-managed routine lies in simplicity and time management.
When host Kapil Sharma asked if he ever takes a break, Akshay explained:
“Of course, I take breaks. I take about 125 days off every year, add 52 Sundays to it, 40 days of summer vacation, three days for Diwali, and a seven-day holiday after every three months. I strictly follow this timetable. All of us have the same 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year, but what matters most is how you manage your time.”
Sharing his philosophy further, Akshay added:
“Keep life simple, don’t complicate things, and avoid stress because stress is extremely harmful. I know people go through financial struggles or relationship problems, but everything passes. I myself grew up in a very small house, sharing a single room with 24 people. Kapil too comes from a similar background. The key is to lead a simple, stress-free life.”
Known in the industry for his discipline, Akshay follows an early-to-bed, early-to-rise routine. His fitness regimen is not limited to the gym—he practices martial arts, yoga, swimming, and functional training. His diet is also uncomplicated, with a preference for simple, home-cooked meals that provide balanced nutrition instead of extreme restrictions.
This disciplined approach, Akshay believes, is what keeps him healthy, grounded, and ahead of the curve in an industry known for its demanding schedules.
