Life after becoming a mother is a whole new chapter, and Alia Bhatt has been gracefully adjusting to it ever since her daughter Raha Kapoor was born nearly three years ago. On a recent talk show hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Alia opened up about her everyday life as a mom, sharing how motherhood has changed her routine and the little moments she treasures with her family.
Alia revealed that she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor follow a similar bedtime routine. “I love sleeping. I usually go to bed around 9:30 p.m. Even if I want to sleep in, Raha makes sure I don’t,” she said with a smile. “Ranbir sleeps a bit later, but he wakes up early too.” She added that having such routines keeps them grounded and connected despite their busy schedules.
The discussion also touched on the pressures new mothers often face. Twinkle pointed out how society expects women to bounce back to their pre-pregnancy bodies quickly, while Kajol noted that many women put unnecessary pressure on themselves. Alia shared her own experience, saying her weight naturally went down through breastfeeding and eating healthy. However, she also faced online speculation about using shortcuts. “Some people said, ‘Take your time, Alia, you just had a baby.’ It was strange but also kind of supportive,” she said.
Alia emphasized that the growing acceptance of different body types is encouraging. “It’s refreshing to hear people say you can be whatever size you want. That’s such a healthy change,” she added.
Through her honest reflections on motherhood, routine, and body image, Alia Bhatt continues to show how she balances stardom with authenticity — embracing the joys and challenges of being both an actress and a devoted mother.
