Allari Naresh heaps praise on Mahesh Babu: “He used to address me as Sir”

After playing the protagonist in more than 50 films, Allari Naresh turned into a supporting artist and played the pivotal role of Ravi Shankar in Mahesh Babu’s 25th film ‘Maharshi’. Helmed on a hefty budget of close to Rs 90 crore, the Vamshi Paidipally directorial has grossed over Rs 175 crore at the global box-office in its full run. Addressing the plight of farmers in the country, the social-drama has also inspired a few citizens to take up weekend agriculture as a hobby to promote and support farming.
During a recent interaction with a channel, Allari Naresh recalled his experience of working with Mahesh Babu in Maharshi. “Everybody knows about Mahesh’s impeccable acting skills, but after working with him, I came to know him as a person. Besides films and family, he doesn’t talk or think about anything,” he said.
Revealing that the Prince of Tollywood used to address him as sir, the Kithakithalu actor added “He used to call me as sir and it made me feel embarrassed. From the light boy to the director, he treats everyone on the sets with the same dignity and respect.”
On the work front, Naresh will portray a never-seen-before role in his upcoming film ‘Naandi’. Recently, the 37-year-old actor along with the film’s producer Satish Vegesna pledged to contribute Rs 10K to all the maids, drivers and daily wagers working in the production of Naandi.
