Allu Arjun’s Arya Remuneration Revealed

Allu Arjun’s film Arya, directed by Sukumar and produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, was a massive hit at the time of its release. Made on a modest budget of ₹6 crore, the film went on to collect ₹35 crore at the box office. Its youthful love story struck a strong chord with the audience, especially the youth, making it an unexpected blockbuster. Arya also marked the real beginning of Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and Dil Raju’s successful careers in Telugu cinema.

Interestingly, all three of them had each done only one film before Arya, and their second project together turned out to be a turning point. But how much remuneration did Allu Arjun take for this superhit film?

Producer Sirish recently revealed some interesting details. “We asked Allu Aravind garu about Bunny’s remuneration, but he didn’t tell us anything—neither at the beginning of the film nor after it was completed. We were a bit tense, unsure of what he might ask.”

“Just four days before the release, Raju went again to ask, but still got no answer. Later, we screened the film at Prasad Labs. After watching it, Aravind garu quietly got into his car and left without saying a word. Raju then went to his house and once again requested him to name a figure. That’s when Aravind garu finally said, ‘If the film collects ₹1 crore in Nizam, give ₹10 lakhs. If it collects ₹2 crores, give ₹20 lakhs. If it earns ₹5 crores, don’t give ₹50 lakhs—just ₹40 lakhs. That should be Bunny’s remuneration. Not a rupee more.’”

“Aravind garu understood the challenges of producers and adjusted accordingly. Bunny too has always been grounded and considerate towards producers. That’s one of the key reasons for his long-standing success,” Sirish concluded.
