OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Nord CE5, a feature-packed mid-range smartphone designed to deliver high performance and extended battery life. Slated to launch in India on 8 July at 2 PM, the device will be available for purchase starting 12 July.
At the heart of the Nord CE5 lies the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset, fabricated on TSMC’s advanced 4nm process. This cutting-edge processor brings a 60% boost in peak GPU performance and a 55% reduction in power consumption, according to the company. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM, the phone is optimized for smooth performance across gaming, media streaming, and AI-driven tasks. The device has reportedly achieved an AnTuTu score of over 1.47 million, setting a new benchmark in its segment.
One of the standout features is its massive 7100mAh battery, which OnePlus describes as a “tablet-size battery.” The company claims the phone can last up to 2.5 days on a single charge under normal usage conditions. To complement this, the 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology enables a full 1% to 100% charge in just 59 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge is said to deliver over six hours of YouTube playback.
The Nord CE5 also includes intelligent battery management features such as Battery Health Magic for long-term battery stability and Bypass Charging, which directs power to the motherboard during gaming to reduce heat and battery degradation.
In the imaging department, the Nord CE5 sports a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It supports 4K video recording at 60fps and introduces enhanced Live Photo capabilities with Ultra HDR support for vivid and dynamic visuals.
With its robust hardware and battery-focused optimizations, the OnePlus Nord CE5 is positioned as a performance-centric smartphone aimed at power users and mobile gamers alike.
