The Pushpa franchise completely transformed Allu Arjun’s career. Until then, he was known as the “Stylish Star,” but after Pushpa: The Rise, he became the “Icon Star.” The film not only changed his image but also earned him a National Award for Best Actor — a monumental achievement. Both Pushpa 1 and Pushpa 2 shattered box-office records and set new benchmarks for Telugu cinema on a pan-India level.
After Pushpa, Allu Arjun’s market value skyrocketed. Following the release of Pushpa: The Rule, he took a short break before beginning his next ambitious project — a pan-India film directed by Atlee. The film is expected to hit screens in 2027. While juggling the shoot for this film, Arjun has also been listening to several new scripts, as multiple top directors are eager to collaborate with him.
Among them is Sanjay Leela Bhansali, with whom Allu Arjun has been in discussions since before Pushpa 2. Their talks reportedly went in a positive direction, but the collaboration will take some time to materialize. Meanwhile, Boyapati Sreenu, who previously delivered the blockbuster Sarrainodu with Arjun, is keen on making a sequel titled Sarrainodu 2. Currently busy with Akhanda 2, Boyapati plans to start Sarrainodu 2 once he completes his ongoing commitments. Sources suggest that once Allu Arjun and producer Allu Aravind give their nod, the project could move forward quickly.
Another exciting possibility is a collaboration between Allu Arjun and Prashanth Neel. Producer Dil Raju reportedly arranged a meeting between them, and the duo is said to be in early script discussions. However, fans might have to wait a few years for this combo, as Neel is currently occupied with Dragon, KGF 3, and Salaar 2.
There’s also buzz about Allu Arjun potentially teaming up with SS Rajamouli and Koratala Siva. Rajamouli, however, is deeply focused on SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu, which will take at least two more years to complete. As for Koratala Siva, he had already announced a film with Allu Arjun in the past, which got shelved due to creative reasons. Now, rumors suggest that Koratala recently narrated a new story to Arjun, and discussions are expected to resume soon.
Whichever director Allu Arjun chooses next — be it Atlee, Bhansali, Boyapati, Neel, Rajamouli, or Koratala — one thing is certain: his next film will be a massive, next-level spectacle worthy of his pan-India stardom.
