The Allu family is mourning the loss of their beloved elder, Allu Kanakaratnamma, grandmother of star actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, who passed away in the early hours of Friday due to age-related ailments. She was 94.
Reports confirm that she breathed her last around 1:45 AM. Her mortal remains will be brought to Allu Aravind’s residence by 9 AM, with the final rites scheduled later in the afternoon at Kokapet.
Allu Kanakaratnamma stood as a strong pillar of support for the family over decades. She was the wife of legendary actor Allu Ramalingaiah and mother of ace producer Allu Aravind. As a matriarch, she witnessed her grandsons Allu Arjun and Ram Charan rise to national stardom, carrying forward the illustrious legacy of the Allu–Konidela family in Telugu cinema.
Currently, Allu Arjun (in Mumbai) and Ram Charan (in Mysore) are making their way to Hyderabad to join the family in their time of grief. Allu Aravind is personally overseeing the arrangements with the support of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu, who are in Vizag for a public event, are expected to visit the family tomorrow to pay their respects.
The passing of Allu Kanakaratnamma is not only a deep personal loss for the family but also marks the end of an era in the legacy of one of Telugu cinema’s most respected families.
