The Andhra Pradesh government is fully committed to developing Amaravati as the state’s multi-faceted capital, and under the leadership of CM Chandrababu Naidu, efforts are being accelerated to turn this vision into reality.

In a major step toward shaping Amaravati into the financial hub of Andhra Pradesh, the government is hosting a mega event today, November 28, marking a milestone in the city’s development journey.

A groundbreaking ceremony for 25 banks in the Amaravati region will be held today—an unprecedented move, as this is the first time such a large number of banks are laying foundations on the same day. The event will be graced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who arrived in Andhra Pradesh last night and was warmly received by CM Chandrababu.

The Union Finance Minister is said to be highly impressed with the initiative and is keenly looking forward to the ceremony.

The CRDA has completed all necessary permissions and allocation processes for the project, ensuring smooth execution. With so many banks entering Amaravati’s landscape together, this development has the potential to fast-track the city’s rise as a financial powerhouse.

With consistent support from the AP government, there’s a strong possibility that many of these banks will prioritize Amaravati as a key operational center in the coming years.
