After a gap of three years, Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda arrived in theatres with ‘Liger’. The film was released under massive expectations and Vijay sounded so confident before it came out. But the movie turned out to be a colossal disappointment and trade pundits predict that it is on its way to becoming a huge disaster.
Fans were severely hurt by Puri Jagannadh’s blow par writing and execution. Whilst everyone is bashing the film, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ hero was spotted enjoying India vs Pakistan match that was held in Dubai. As it is known, the Indian Men’s Cricket team is playing the Asia Cup in UAE and the most hyped India-Pakistan match happened on Sunday where India emerged victorious.
Apart from the nail-biting game, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s presence in the stadium which garnered a lot of attention. Dressed in a white kurta, Vijay is seen enjoying the game and extending his support to team India. He even had a chat with the commentators and his clicks from the stadium are currently going viral.
After a disastrous result like ‘Liger’, Vijay is tied up with Puri Jagannadh for another project named ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Produced by Charmme and Puri, the first schedule has already been wrapped up and dusky siren Pooja Hegde is the heroine in it. Vijay is also working on a romantic entertainer titled ‘Khushi’, directed by ‘Majili’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ fame Shiva Nirvana. Samantha is playing the female in this project. He also announced a project with intelligent filmmaker Sukumar and this movie is expected to start at the end of 2023.

Nayanthara Breaks Her Promotion Rule for Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu
January 11, 2026

Legendary actress Nayanthara has long maintained a strict approach when it comes to film promotions. For over a decade, she has largely stayed away from promotional activities, often refusing offers of additional remuneration just to participate in publicity events. Directors and producers have tried repeatedly to involve her in marketing efforts, but she has consistently held her ground. Before signing any project, she ensures a clear agreement: she will only act in a film if she is comfortable with its commitments, and she will not engage in promotional campaigns unless it aligns with her terms, regardless of how high the fee offered.
This policy has been consistent throughout her career. No matter the scale of the film, Nayanthara generally avoids attending marketing events, preferring to complete her shooting and move on without being tied to promotional duties. However, for Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, she made an exception due to her rapport with director Anil Ravipudi. She participated in two promotional videos and actively helped publicize the film, breaking her usual stance.
During the recent pre-release event, director Anil Ravipudi confirmed that Nayanthara was personally convinced to attend and take part in the promotions. This unusual move has drawn attention in Kollywood, with some questioning how a Tamil film star came to promote a Telugu project. Social media users have sparked discussions, playfully comparing her participation to a rare “chutney-like” exception.
Industry insiders have also debated whether it is appropriate for an actress to prioritize promotions for a non-native film over her Tamil projects. Despite these discussions, it is important to note that Nayanthara’s decisions regarding promotions are entirely personal. She chooses which films to promote and which to abstain from, consistently adhering to her principles. Even films where she played a lead role have often seen minimal promotional involvement from her, including on social media platforms.
