After a gap of three years, Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda arrived in theatres with ‘Liger’. The film was released under massive expectations and Vijay sounded so confident before it came out. But the movie turned out to be a colossal disappointment and trade pundits predict that it is on its way to becoming a huge disaster.

Fans were severely hurt by Puri Jagannadh’s blow par writing and execution. Whilst everyone is bashing the film, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ hero was spotted enjoying India vs Pakistan match that was held in Dubai. As it is known, the Indian Men’s Cricket team is playing the Asia Cup in UAE and the most hyped India-Pakistan match happened on Sunday where India emerged victorious.

Apart from the nail-biting game, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s presence in the stadium which garnered a lot of attention. Dressed in a white kurta, Vijay is seen enjoying the game and extending his support to team India. He even had a chat with the commentators and his clicks from the stadium are currently going viral.

After a disastrous result like ‘Liger’, Vijay is tied up with Puri Jagannadh for another project named ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Produced by Charmme and Puri, the first schedule has already been wrapped up and dusky siren Pooja Hegde is the heroine in it. Vijay is also working on a romantic entertainer titled ‘Khushi’, directed by ‘Majili’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ fame Shiva Nirvana. Samantha is playing the female in this project. He also announced a project with intelligent filmmaker Sukumar and this movie is expected to start at the end of 2023.

Niharika Raises Concern Over Filmfare Speech Snub

Niharika Konidela is currently basking in the success of Committee Kurrollu, a small-budget film that surprised many by emerging as a notable winner. The project not only won audience appreciation but also made its presence felt during the awards season.

At the recent Filmfare Awards South held in Kochi, director Yadhu Vamsi received the Best Debut Director honour, while Sandeep Saroj bagged the Best Debut Actor (Telugu) award. The recognition marked a proud moment for the team behind the film.

However, what was expected to be a purely celebratory evening reportedly ended on a disappointing note. Despite attending the ceremony, the debut winners were allegedly not given the opportunity to deliver acceptance speeches on stage.

Later, Niharika took to Instagram to voice her concern over the handling of the event. She pointed out that debut winners from the Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada industries were not invited to speak, emphasizing that for newcomers, standing on the prestigious Filmfare stage is more than a routine formality — it represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

While acknowledging that large-scale award shows often operate under strict time constraints, she noted that even a minute of stage time for first-time winners could make a meaningful difference. Tagging the official Filmfare handle in her post, Niharika’s remarks quickly drew support from netizens, many of whom echoed her sentiments. As of now, the organisers have not issued any official clarification regarding the matter.
