After a gap of three years, Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda arrived in theatres with ‘Liger’. The film was released under massive expectations and Vijay sounded so confident before it came out. But the movie turned out to be a colossal disappointment and trade pundits predict that it is on its way to becoming a huge disaster.
Fans were severely hurt by Puri Jagannadh’s blow par writing and execution. Whilst everyone is bashing the film, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ hero was spotted enjoying India vs Pakistan match that was held in Dubai. As it is known, the Indian Men’s Cricket team is playing the Asia Cup in UAE and the most hyped India-Pakistan match happened on Sunday where India emerged victorious.
Apart from the nail-biting game, it was Vijay Deverakonda’s presence in the stadium which garnered a lot of attention. Dressed in a white kurta, Vijay is seen enjoying the game and extending his support to team India. He even had a chat with the commentators and his clicks from the stadium are currently going viral.
After a disastrous result like ‘Liger’, Vijay is tied up with Puri Jagannadh for another project named ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Produced by Charmme and Puri, the first schedule has already been wrapped up and dusky siren Pooja Hegde is the heroine in it. Vijay is also working on a romantic entertainer titled ‘Khushi’, directed by ‘Majili’ and ‘Ninnu Kori’ fame Shiva Nirvana. Samantha is playing the female in this project. He also announced a project with intelligent filmmaker Sukumar and this movie is expected to start at the end of 2023.

December 3, 2025

Senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a whirlwind promotional tour for his much-awaited film Akhanda 2, which is gearing up for a massive release across India on December 5th. After aggressively promoting the film in Vizag, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Chikkaballapur, the team reached Chennai this evening to interact with Tamil media.
During the press meet, Balakrishna made an emotional connection with the Tamil audience. Speaking in fluent Tamil, he said Madras (now Chennai) is his Janmabhoomi, while Telangana is his Karmabhoomi and Andhra Pradesh is his Atmabhoomi. He fondly recalled his childhood memories in Madras and shared anecdotes about his association with legendary Kollywood actors.
Balakrishna expressed pride in completing 50 years as an actor and confirmed that he will continue playing lead roles for years to come. Confident about the film’s success, he said that Akhanda 2 will continue the strong streak he set with Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and Daaku Maharaj. He also stated that he has consciously stopped doing routine films and is always focused on offering fresh, powerful, and meaningful content to the audience.
Director Boyapati Srinu, who accompanied Balakrishna, revealed that key sequences were shot amidst crores of devotees at the Mahakumbh Mela, making it one of the most challenging and grand filming experiences of their careers.
With the first Akhanda becoming a blockbuster during the pandemic, expectations on the sequel are sky-high. The film’s theme, scale, and genre have strong nationwide appeal, and Akhanda 2 is set for a significant North India release—much bigger than the first part.
