Amma Vodi to be provided in June next year?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has advised the officials to link the Amma Vodi scheme to students attendance and provide the scheme only when the schools begin. The CM made these key remarks while reviewing the education sector on Monday.

Jagan conducted a review meeting on the education sector at the camp office in Tadepalli. It was attended by Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh, School Education Chief Secretary Buditi Rajasekhar, Women and Child Welfare Chief Secretary AR Anuradha, Finance Secretary N Gulzar, and Women and Child Welfare Director (Direction Special Officer) Kritika Shukla.

It is known that Amma Vodi is being implemented in January every year. The amount will be deposited in the mothers’ bank accounts on the 9th of January. As per reports, Jagan directed the authorities to provide Amma Vodi at the beginning of the academic year, considering the attendance of students. He made it clear to the authorities that the scheme has to be associated with the academic year.

Judging by the Chief Minister’s comments in the review, it can be expected that Amma Vodi will be implemented in June. However, this is not official yet.
