In a bid to galvanize the party and to expose the failures of the TRS government, AICC President Sonia Gandhi will take part several agitational programmes in Telangana soon.
As a first step, Sonia will address public meeting on Telangana Formation Day (June 2) in Hyderabad. Party high command has come to a conclusion that as the TPCC failed to counter KCR government, the AICC decided to monitor the Congress functioning directly from New Delhi.
Sonia Gandhi will hold monthly review of the party activities and asked senior leader Digvijay Singh to update her political developments regularly. After public meeting Sonia along with her son AICC Vice president Rahul Gandhi will conduct road shows in the future.
It was also decided that Digvijaya Singh would be the observer during the meeting of the Telangana Congress Legislature Party to be held on the eve of the Budget Session. He would advise the legislature party on the strategies it should adopt to corner the government on various issues.
