Producers Missing at Akhanda 2 Success Meet Sparks Buzz

December 15, 2025

The Akhanda 2 success meet was conducted on a grand scale, with director Boyapati Srinu, hero Nandamuri Balakrishna, music director SS Thaman, and Nizam distributor Dil Raju delivering strong and impactful speeches. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the absence of the producers from the event.

Interestingly, the producers had organised a media meet on the film’s release day—yet, on that occasion, Boyapati Srinu and Thaman did not attend. Now, with the roles seemingly reversed, the situation has sparked discussions within industry circles.

According to reliable sources, there appears to be a visible gap between Balakrishna and the producers. It is said that the producers struggled to ensure a smooth release, forcing both the hero and the director to give up a major portion of their remuneration to keep the project going. This, insiders say, led to Balakrishna being displeased with the way things were handled.

What makes this even more surprising is that despite several top producers competing for the film, Balakrishna reportedly chose 14 Reels Plus, rejecting other offers. Yet, the partnership does not seem to have ended on the best note.

Sources further reveal that all arrangements and expenses for the success meet were managed entirely by Mango Ram, who is believed to have shouldered the maximum responsibility and pressure during the film’s release as well.

While some inside the industry whisper that the producers skipped the event due to their strained relationship with the star, others claim that Balakrishna himself asked them not to attend the function.
