Kuberaa Celebrates Box Office Success
With glowing reviews pouring in from all quarters, Kuberaa is enjoying a phenomenal run at the box office. Buoyed by the strong word-of-mouth and widespread audience appreciation, the team came together to celebrate the film’s success.
Producer Suniel Narang expressed his delight over the film’s reception and growing collections.
“The response has been truly heartening. We’re confident that the collections will only rise further, thanks to the positive buzz and the emotional connect audiences are experiencing,” he said.
Director Sekhar Kammula, known for his rooted storytelling, spoke passionately about the vision behind Kuberaa.
“I wanted to tell a grounded story and present Mumbai in a way that hasn’t been explored before on screen. When we shared this idea with Nagarjuna, he agreed instantly — the same with Dhanush. Kuberaa is one of the most honest and finest films I’ve made. Dhanush’s performance has been captured beautifully, and audiences are really connecting with it.
Nagarjuna’s role, especially, has left a lasting emotional impact. While a few have pointed out the film’s length, I believe repeat viewings will uncover its many layers. We stayed true to the story at every step, and I’m deeply grateful for the overwhelming response.”
Veteran star Nagarjuna also shared his joy at being part of the film.
“I have to thank Suniel — he’s like family. I’d always wanted to work with Sekhar Kammula, especially since Amala, Sumanth, and Naga Chaitanya have all collaborated with him.
Kuberaa breaks away from routine cinema. It reminded me of classics like Mayabazar, Missamma, and Gundamma Katha. It’s unmistakably a Sekhar Kammula film.
This project has been a turning point for me personally — it’s inspired me to take on more experimental and layered roles. I’m already looking forward to working with Sekhar again.”
