For years, Andhra Pradesh has seen its talented workforce migrate to neighboring states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana in search of better employment opportunities. Recognizing this challenge, IT Minister Lokesh has been focusing on retaining local talent and fostering innovation within the state.
A recent interaction on social media highlights this effort. An entrepreneur from the Konaseema region reached out to Lokesh on Twitter seeking support for an ongoing AI project being developed in a remote village.
Phanindra Reddy shared details about his upcoming voice AI platform, which already has paying enterprise clients in the USA. “We are building our own voice AI platform from Andhra Pradesh, from a village in Konaseema, completely bootstrapped, and serving paying enterprise clients in the USA. Would love your support in this journey, sir,” he wrote.
The post quickly caught the attention of Minister Lokesh, who directed his office and the administration at Ratan Tata Innovations to assist Phanindra in advancing this inspiring AI initiative. This interaction underscores the state’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and building Andhra Pradesh as a hub for innovation.
