In a groundbreaking move towards digital governance, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with Meta, has introduced ‘Mana Mitra,’ a WhatsApp-based chatbot designed to provide seamless access to over 160 public services. This initiative aims to enhance convenience and efficiency by integrating essential public services into a single, user-friendly platform, making Andhra Pradesh the first state in India to launch a digital public services chatbot on WhatsApp at such a scale.
Key Features of ‘Mana Mitra’
Comprehensive Service Access: Residents can utilize ‘Mana Mitra’ to avail six key services, including electricity bill payments, temple seva bookings, bus ticket reservations, revenue services, municipal services, and grievance redressal.
Effortless Booking System: The chatbot enables users to check real-time availability for bus bookings and complete reservations directly through WhatsApp, eliminating the need for third-party platforms.
Seamless Payment Integration: Users can make payments conveniently within WhatsApp using UPI, credit cards, and debit cards.
WhatsApp Flows Integration: With customizable forms and menus, the chatbot enhances user interaction and accessibility.
Residents can access ‘Mana Mitra’ by simply sending a “Hi” to 9552300009 on WhatsApp.

Speaking on the launch, Shri Lokesh Nara, Minister of Human Resource Development, Information Technology, and Electronics, Government of Andhra Pradesh, stated, “This first-of-its-kind chatbot represents our commitment to a digitally inclusive Andhra Pradesh, where citizens can book and purchase bus tickets, plan temple visits, and resolve grievances effortlessly through WhatsApp. Our partnership with Meta is not just about digitizing services but also about ensuring accessibility with the ease of a simple chat.”
