In the film industry, whether a movie is a hit or a flop, trolls are inevitable. Negative comments become especially intense when a film underperforms. Senior heroines often face unwarranted trolling, and recently, actress Anshu, who made her comeback after 20 years, became the target of harsh social media criticism. A screenshot she shared clearly highlights the extent of these comments.
Interestingly, there wasn’t much reason for the negativity toward Anshu. Netizens mainly criticized her for making a comeback so late and questioned why she chose to act in films even after becoming a mother of two. Some social media users claimed to support her yet simultaneously criticized her decisions.
Anshu addressed this directly on her social media platform. She shared screenshots of comments like: “After becoming a mother of two, why did you choose such a film for your comeback? Don’t you feel embarrassed?” and “After 20 years, isn’t it too late to make a comeback? Shouldn’t you have thought about this earlier?” Some even questioned her appearance post-surgery, suggesting she had lost her charm and should undergo cosmetic procedures.
In response, Anshu confidently stated that she will live on her own terms and believes there is no right or wrong timing for pursuing something important. She emphasized that it’s never too late to take action and that she will not let negative comments affect her. She also reassured fans that she will continue to make the most of every acting opportunity that comes her way.
Anshu originally debuted in Tollywood with the 2002 blockbuster Manmadhudu. Despite the film’s huge success and the subsequent offers she received, she carefully selected only a few projects, including Raghavendra with Prabhas, which, although not a blockbuster, established her as a recognized heroine. After a long hiatus following films like Missamma and Jai, she made her comeback with Majaka, starring alongside Rao Ramesh, once again capturing public attention. Post-Majaka, she has received a few new offers that are expected to go on sets soon and release next year.
Anshu’s confident approach to her comeback sends a strong message: talent and determination aren’t bound by time, and one should pursue their passion without worrying about societal expectations or online criticism.
