One of Telugu cinema’s leading actresses, Anushka Shetty, has announced that she will be taking a short break from social media.
“Trading blue light for candlelight… I will be stepping away from social media for a bit, just to reconnect with the world and focus on work beyond the scrolling, to where we all actually started. See you all soon with more stories and more love… Smile always. Love, Anushka Shetty.”
Anushka had been actively engaging with fans online during the promotions of her recently released action entertainer ‘Ghaati’, in which she starred opposite Vikram Prabhu. Directed by Krish, the film hit theaters on September 5. While the film received mixed reviews, critics lauded Anushka Shetty’s performance.
During the promotions, Anushka had expressed her interest in exploring darker roles. “I would love to play an out-and-out negative character, should such a strong role come my way,” she told the media.
Celebrating 20 years in the film industry, Anushka also spoke about her upcoming projects. She revealed that she is considering new scripts, including her first Malayalam film, and teased an exciting announcement for a Telugu project as well.
Having previously collaborated with Krish on the blockbuster Vedam, expectations for Ghaati were high, and fans are eager to see what Anushka brings to her future roles.
