Renowned South Indian filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, best known for his blockbuster hits like Kaithi, Master, and Vikram, is all set to step in front of the camera. Although he made his directorial debut with Maanagaram, it was Kaithi and his subsequent films that catapulted him to stardom.

Now, Lokesh is gearing up to make his acting debut in an action-packed martial arts film directed by Captain Miller fame Arun Matheswaran. According to reports, the director-turned-actor is currently undergoing intensive martial arts training in Thailand to prepare for the physically demanding role. The film promises to present Lokesh in a completely new avatar and is expected to be a high-octane action entertainer.

Even as he explores this new phase of his career, Lokesh is actively involved in the post-production of Coolie, the much-awaited film starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on August 14th.

Looking ahead, Lokesh Kanagaraj is also set to helm Kaithi 2, followed by a superhero-themed film with Bollywood star Aamir Khan — an ambitious crossover project that has already generated significant buzz.
