Meanwhile, veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai is planning to revive the 1982 classic Disco Dancer, which starred Mithun Chakraborty and became a massive box-office success. Ghai has enlisted ace writer KV Vijayendra Prasad to develop the story and screenplay for the sequel. The director has expressed interest in casting either Ranbir Kapoor or Allu Arjun in the lead role.

The project had previously encountered legal hurdles due to a copyright dispute, but the court has now confirmed that Subhash Ghai retains the creative rights to the film. The team is also planning to shoot portions of the film in Russia and collaborate with several international music artists, including Russian groups, to craft a global soundtrack.
