AP govt hikes the fees in private hospitals

The Andhra Pradesh state government has issued orders raising the prices of treatment in private nursing homes and hospitals providing treatment to Covid victims in Andhra Pradesh. As part of this, NABH has fixed prices for accredited hospitals and non-accredited hospitals.

For non-critical care, the NABH has ordered accredited hospitals to charge Rs 4,000 and non-accredited hospitals to charge only Rs 3,600. Covid treatment with oxygen will cost Rs 6,500 per day and non-accredited hospitals will charge only Rs 5,850. The directives confirming fees of Rs 12,000 per day for ICUs and Rs.16,400 for ventilators in NABH accreditation hospitals and Rs.14,400 for ICUs in hospitals without NABH accreditation were issued.
