The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has made a landmark decision aimed at safeguarding the lives of underprivileged citizens suffering from heart attacks. In a significant move, the government will provide free Tenecteplase injections, a life-saving drug crucial in the golden hour after a heart attack. This injection, which normally costs between ₹40,000 to ₹45,000, will now be available at no cost to the poor, ensuring they receive immediate medical assistance before being shifted to a hospital.

Heart attacks have been on the rise across all age groups, affecting both urban and rural populations. While those with financial stability may access timely treatment, the poor often struggle to afford life-saving interventions. In remote areas, delayed medical attention has led to tragic fatalities. Recognizing this dire situation, the Chandrababu government has stepped in with a proactive solution to ensure that no one loses their life due to financial constraints or lack of timely treatment.

By offering free Tenecteplase injections, the government is not only saving lives but also reducing the financial burden on families already struggling with medical expenses. This initiative marks a crucial milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s healthcare system, ensuring that emergency cardiac care is accessible to all, regardless of economic status.

This welfare-driven approach reflects Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to the health and well-being of the state’s underprivileged citizens. Experts believe that this move will significantly lower heart attack-related deaths and set an example for other states to follow.
