AP govt to reach Supreme Court over Sudhakar’s case

It is known that the AP government has faced a backlash from the High court who ordered CBI to probe into the investigation against the Vizag Police for brutal handling of the anesthetist Dr. Sudhakar. Sudhakar is currently in a government hospital for mental health after Doctors declared him as he is suffering from mental illness.

So, the AP government has decided to move to the supreme court, challenging the decision of the High Court. The high court ordered the CBI to submit the completed report with 8 weeks for the brutal handling by the Vizag Police of Dr. Sudhakhar.

As per Police, Sudhakar was allegedly drunk when he was ill-treated as he was suspended by the AP government a few weeks back for complaining about the lack of adequate medical facilities in his hospital in this critical COVID-19 period.

Normally, high court wouldn’t have asked the CBI to probe into the case unless the magistrate reported that there were some injuries on Sudhakar’s body, In a report given by the AP government, they said that Sudhakar was unharmed.

Due to these two different reports, high court passed a statement that “We don’t believe in government reports” and ordered a probe which was now challenged in the supreme court by the AP government.
