Andhra Pradesh Government Whip and Deduluru Assembly Constituency MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar received a rude shock. Local court awarded two years jail sentence and also imposed Rs 2,500 in connection with the case of assault on Congress leader Vatti Vasantha Kumar.
The then minister in the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government, Kumar lodged a complaint with Denduluru police that Prabhakar attacked him while attending Rachabanda programme in 2011.
After varifying all evidences and prosecution arguments, local court pronounced judgment against the TDP leader. However, the MLA got bail immediately.
