The Bombay High Court has rejected petitions filed by Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami seeking interim bail and a two-year stay on the case.
The court, however, said that they could not give any order on these and the petitioner could approach the Sessions Court for bail. The judges said they would make a decision on the matter within four days. Arnab Goswami is accused of inciting interior designer Anvay Nayak and his mother to commit suicide two years ago.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate allowed the police to interrogate Arnab Goswami for three hours daily. Arnab approached the Supreme Court today after the Bombay High Court denied interim bail to him on Monday. A bench of Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Indira Banerjee will hear the plea.
