Assembly,Parliament has the power to Enact Laws: Botsa!

The Andhra Pradesh government had faced a few shocks in the recent past over the Amaravati issue in the High Court and Supreme Court as well. Another one had joined the list with the High Court saying that the Amaravati region should be developed as capital and reports on the works should be submitted to the court.

Hours after the verdict, Andhra Pradesh Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botsa Satyanarayana had reacted to the development. He seemed like he was not happy with the court’s observations.

Referring to the observations made by the High Court that the government doesn’t stand any power to make the laws, Botsa said that the Assemblies and Parliament are there to make laws and it was guaranteed by the constitution.

The Cabinet Minister said that it might not be possible to develop the flats in three months. Will that time be sufficient for the work? It would be good if we were told that the work should be started in three or six months, he said.

However, Botsa said that he had not read the full copy of the verdict and would give his reaction to the issue for one time after reading what was told by the High Court today.

The senior YCP leader had concluded by saying that the government is focused on decentralization of development and only that can bring overall development.

We want to develop the state totally, he said.
