However, his journey as a producer hit a major setback with Baby John, a film he co-produced and closely monitored. The movie turned out to be a disastrous failure, leading to significant consequences for Atlee’s production plans. Following this setback, he reportedly decided to put his upcoming projects, including films with Vijay Sethupathi, Shahid Kapoor, and young Bollywood actor Veer Pahariya, on hold. These projects are now in a stalemate, as Atlee is unsure whether to proceed with them.
Currently, the director is shifting his focus entirely back to filmmaking, setting aside his production ambitions for the time being. His next big project is with Allu Arjun, and it is crucial for him to deliver a blockbuster to rebuild his momentum. A failure at this stage could not only impact his reputation but also make it challenging to attract big stars for future projects. However, given Atlee’s proven talent and knack for mass entertainers, expectations are high that he will make a strong comeback with his next directorial venture.
