As S.S. Rajamouli’s iconic Baahubali franchise gets ready for a grand theatrical re-release as Baahubali: The Epic, fans have noticed a surprising development — both films from the blockbuster series have disappeared from Netflix.
The re-release, scheduled for October 31, combines Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) into a single, immersive cinematic experience. Yet, social media screenshots show Netflix displaying the message: “Oh no! This title currently isn’t available to watch in your country.”
This sudden removal has sparked widespread speculation. While some suggest it may be due to expired streaming rights, others believe it’s a strategic marketing move to build excitement ahead of the re-release.
Starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, and Ramya Krishnan, the Baahubali series is hailed as one of India’s most celebrated cinematic universes, redefining pan-Indian storytelling. Whether it’s a licensing issue or a promotional strategy, one thing is clear — Baahubali continues to dominate conversations, even eight years after its original box office triumph.
