Baahubali: The Epic, the recut and remastered edition of SS Rajamouli’s legendary two-part saga, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, is set to hit theatres on October 31. The anticipation around this re-release has been nothing short of phenomenal.

Advance bookings opened on Saturday, with only six theatres in Hyderabad initially listed. Yet, in the very first hour, over 5,000 to 6,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow — surpassing the early sales figures of several recent new releases. Demand is soaring not just for the opening day but across the entire first weekend, mirroring the massive craze seen during the films’ original releases in 2015 and 2017.

Directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah, the re-release is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, with music by MM Keeravani. The restored version promises an enhanced cinematic experience, giving both longtime fans and first-time viewers a chance to relive the grandeur that redefined Indian cinema.

Trade analysts predict Baahubali: The Epic could emerge as the most successful re-release ever, reaffirming the franchise’s enduring legacy nearly a decade after its debut.
