After RRR captured global attention and even won an Oscar for Naatu Naatu, many fans felt that Baahubali too had long deserved similar international recognition. That moment seems to have finally arrived.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda has officially announced that the World of Baahubali is now entering Phase II. The first step in this new chapter was the release of Baahubali: The Epic — a special recut version that seamlessly merges both original parts into a single cinematic experience. Interestingly, the theatrical release also included a teaser for the upcoming animated feature, Baahubali: The Eternal War.
Once released online, the teaser quickly went viral — not only across India but even more prominently overseas. Animation enthusiasts and global audiences have been showering praise on its visuals, scale, and emotional depth. The response came as a pleasant surprise to many, given how rarely Indian animation ventures achieve this level of international traction.
While projects like Mahavatar Narsimha had made a mark within India, their reach remained limited. In contrast, Baahubali: The Eternal War is garnering reactions from viewers around the world, hinting at a new era for Indian animation on the global stage.
Directed by Ishan Shukla, an award-winning filmmaker, the film is presented by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. The story is penned by Ishan Shukla and Sowmya Sharma, with music composed by M.M. Keeravaani. The voice cast includes Prabhas as Amarendra Baahubali and Ramya Krishna as Sivagami.
